Why I went wrong with Investing?

It didn't take alot for me to go down the wrong route with my money, it started after watching a documentary on the BBC about the life of debt many of us live with in the UK. I heard many horror stories of lost pensions, wasted stocks and lots of other money draining scenarios.

To think that some people spent years working and saving only to loose money that would be required in their later years for retirement. I have heard many horror stories with pensions, too much to go into, but needless to say I looked for another avenue.

I have always been reserved when it comes to spending, however, in the financial climate at the minute I decided to stay one step ahead. My business owns quite alot of premises so I turned to investing. My investments would lead me to not only save money for the future but also to increase the value of it without having to do anything, sitting on a gold pot, well, almost.

I turned to Investiere to help me with my financial decisions and advice on investing, they gave me some good advice, but the brokers were very up and down with their decisions which didn't give me a whole lot of confidence, in fact, I can even recall biting my nails at one point, here I am, middle aged with a business, trying to place some security on the future.

I turned to investment management as a way of turning my business into an investible asset that could be used to draw money against in the later years, I had been given some recommendations, namely Schroders,  7IM, Axa-IM and Tilney.  But I was not comfortable bouncing between brokers or companies trying to find the ideal solution?.

So, by now, I am confused, not sure where to go for investment advice, nor do I have a real idea of my next steps, all I did know was that I needed to secure investments for the future and long term money growth.

I was browsing the net, as per usual I come across a good video on Youtube, although its American, there were some interesting tips, you can have a look at the video here at

I thought maybe I could invest in stocks and bonds, or even additional property, however with the property market in tatters, I thought long and hard before deciding against it.

After routing around more and more I decided on turning to some of the companies I found on the net, I turned to Axa-IM (Investment Management) for advice and so far they have been incredibly helpful. At the same time I have also been looking around for further information for investments, so I will keep you all updated on my progress.
